Before installing Softick PPP make sure you have setup Palm's USB driver
and you are able to perform ordinary synchronization by using HotSync
technology.
We highly recommend to install latest Palm Desktop Software. At the time of writting
current version for Palm Computing PDA is Palm Desktop 4.1,
for Sony NX Series - Palm Desktop for Clie 4.0.1
You can download latest Palm Desktop from Palm Support
Softick PPP doesn't require all Palm Desktop software. It you want to reduce disk space
requirement you should leave only USB driver and usbport.dll from Palm folder.
- Run SoftickPPP-version-EN.exe to launch installation.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen
Dial-In Setup
You must install and enable Dial-Up networking before you can accept an
incoming call with the driver. This can be done using the following procedure:

Right-click the "My Network Places" icon on the desktop and select the
Properties item from the context menu.

Double-click the "Make New Connection" icon from the list.

Select the "Accept incoming connections" radio button, then click "Next".
- ‘lick the check box next to the "Palm RAS Adapter" to allow
incoming calls on the adapter. Once you select the adapter(s), click "Next".

Select "Do not allow virtual private connections", then click "Next".

Select the users you want to have dial-in access, then click "Next".

Select the protocols and services you want to support, then click "Next".

Now click "Finish" to enable the dial-in connections.
