Softick Audio Gateway -- Compatibility

Q: Can I listen my music via my bluetooth earpice (mono headset)?

A: Unfortunately, mono bluetooth headset can't provide stereo A2DP profile which is required by Audio Gateway.
These headsets can provide SCO capability only. Currently this profile is not supported by our product.
We know what many people want a version for their earpieces, that's why Softick is working hard to implement this profile as soon as possible.
You can read more about our problems with mono headset on our forum http://www.softick-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=864.

Q: Can I make/receive phone call while listening my music on my Treo?

A: Yes, you can make or/and receive phone calls while listening music via your bluetooth headphone.
Softick Audio Gateway automatically stops music and switches your headphone to phone call.
Music will be restored after your talk is finished.

Q: Can I pause/resume my music using my headphone buttons? It would be good.

A: Yes, Softick Audio Gateway supports AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Protocol) profile. Currently AVRCP is supported for pTunes, RealPlayer (in foreground mode only), Aeroplayer (1.07+), Audible player and tcpmp.

Q: Does Audio Gateway support Sony handhelds?

A: Unfortunately, Sony handhelds are not supported by Softick Audio Gateway at this time. Sound subsystem of Sony handhelds differs greatly from that one of other handhelds. We are working to make version for Sony devices, but currently we can't say exactly when this version will be available for the public use.

Q: Can I use Audio Gateway on Windows Mobile handhelds?

A: Softick knows that many of WM handheld users are waiting for Audio Gateway. And we are already working on WM support. This version will be released as soon as possible.

Q: Does Audio Gateway support my Life Drive?

A: Yes, Audio Gateway works on Life Drive. But you can hear choppy and slow sound, because Palm OS reads from time to time data from LD hard disk. And Audio Gateway doesn't have enough time to send music data via Bluetooth.
We can suggest you the following:

  • Try to store your MP3s to SD card and listen music from this card.
  • Do not exit from your media player during music play.
