Before Installation

Before installing Softick PPP make sure you have setup Palm's USB driver and you are able to perform ordinary synchronization by using HotSync technology.

We highly recommend to install latest Palm Desktop Software. At the time of writting current version for Palm Computing PDA is Palm Desktop 4.1, for Sony NX Series - Palm Desktop for Clie NX 4.1

You can download latest Palm Desktop from Palm Support

For Sony Clie handheld you may check Sony Clie Support Site for latest updates.

Softick PPP doesn't require all Palm Desktop software. It you want to reduce disk space requirement you should leave only USB driver and usbport.dll from Palm Desktop installation folder.

Installation

1. Run SoftickPPP-version-EN.exe to launch installation.
2. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen
3. Setup your Palm Network profile. You need to setup your DNS settings in Network Profile or in the Softick PPP configuration (accessible from right click on tray icon -> Settings).
