Beginning from version 2.10, Softick PPP 2.10 supports Bluetooth/Serial connections. This feature
allows to utilize your Palm BT SDIO card, Tungsten-T, Sony PEG UX50 built-in Bluetooth capabilities in order
to access Local Area Network (LAN) or Internet.
Although Bluetooth software bundled with Bluetooth USB dongles supports access to LAN via standard
Bluetooth network profile, this feature is limited since it requires Internet Connection Sharing,
third party routing or proxy software installed.
Softick PPP uses Bluetooth Serial Port emulation and provides it's own PPP server and NAT, which solves
many network problem you may expirience with standard Bluetooth software.
In order to use Bluetooth with Softick PPP you need to perform the following steps:
- Disable standard Bluetooth services
- Determinate your Bluetooth virtual COM port
- Configure Softick PPP to use Bluetooth virtual COM port
- Configure handheld to use Bluetooth to access network
