Softick Blue Files - Bluetooth File Exchange for Palm OS

  Using Softick Blue Files with Microsoft Windows Bluetooth stack (Widcomm)

 

Before using Softick Blue Files with Widcomm Bluetooth Software for Microsoft Windows make sure that your Palm powered device:

  1. Can be discovered by desktop computer
  2. Paired with desktop computer

To access your Palm files and folders via Bluetooth firstly launch Softick Blue Files on your handheld from your favorite program launcher.

Next click on your desktop computer My Bluetooth Places Icon to open "My Bluetooth Places" explorer window.
(Note: Actual icon and windows can be slighly different on your setup due to different version of your Bluetooth software )

Now you can click "Search for devices in range" to display list of nearby devices. After device scan complete double click on your Palm device to inquiry for available services.
You might need to press F5 button (or select "Refresh" menu item) to request actual available service list since it being changed by Softick Blue Files and Bluetooth software may display standard service list.

Hint:You can create shortcut to Softick Blue Files service on your Palm powered device and place it to the "My Bluetooth places" in order to access it later quickly

Next double click on Bluetooth File Transfer Icon to access your files via bluetouth. Now you can copy and paste files and folders from your Windows Explorer to your Palm and vice versa using context menu or Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V keyboard shortcuts.

You can also create new folders on Palm powered device.

Note: You can rename only empty folders
